Breast Lift & Reductions

What Is a Breast Lift (Mastopexy)?

Breast uplift is a procedure that removes extra loose skin, lifts and reshapes the breast to look like it’s a more youthful shape. It will help with making the breasts firmer and higher. You will become more comfortable socially and personally.

Who should get this procedure? If you have droopiness of the breast caused by motherhood, pregnancy, nursing with distension of the breasts with milk, and the force of gravity causing the fibrous bands to break down and the skin to stretch. The breast well starts aging because of the constraint.

Breast Lift vs Breast Reduction: Which Is Right for You?

A breast lift and a breast reduction both improve the shape and position of the breasts, but they are designed to address different concerns. Choosing the right procedure depends on your goals, breast size, symptoms, and overall health.

A breast lift (mastopexy) is ideal for patients who are satisfied with their breast size but experience sagging, loss of firmness, or nipples that point downward. This procedure repositions the breasts and tightens excess skin without significantly reducing volume.

A breast reduction is recommended for patients with overly large or heavy breasts that cause physical discomfort such as back, neck, or shoulder pain, skin irritation, or difficulty exercising. Breast reduction removes excess breast tissue and skin while also lifting and reshaping the breasts.

In many cases, breast reduction surgery inherently includes a lifting component, as the breasts must be reshaped and elevated after tissue removal. However, not all breast lifts involve tissue reduction.

During your consultation, your surgeon will evaluate your anatomy, discuss your symptoms and aesthetic goals, and recommend whether a breast lift, breast reduction, or a combination approach will provide the best outcome.
