Skin Pigmentation Removal
What is Skin Pigmentation?
Skin Pigmentation is based on the levels of melanin produced in the skin. People who have light skin produce low levels of melanin, and dark skins produce high levels. When the body produces a low level of melanin in the body at certain areas, it creates discoloration which causes the skin to show patches or spots that are lighter or darker than surrounding regions. It can cause any effect in any area of the body including the face, arms, and legs.
What Causes Skin Pigmentation?
One common cause is the body is overproducing, underproducing, or has uneven distribution of melanin in the body. Other causes can be sun exposure, hormonal changes, certain medications, inflammation, immune system deficiencies, certain diseases or medical conditions, and genetics.
